Im a podiatrist and I purchased this for my practice. The suction is not that powerful. It barely has any power in all honesty. I expected it to be more effective at extracting all types of particles (similar to a vacuum). The suction only works for fine aerosolised particles (particles that have entered the air). However I’m still happy as it does a good job at extracting nail dust during nail debridement. It also has to be at very close contact to the working area as the power isn’t strong enough to reach further than a few cm away from the pipe. I thought I’d also be able to use it when removing calluses— to extract the skin particles. Unfortunately it is not at all effective in that regard. I do however love the flexibility of the pipe and the LED lights, although it is mind boggling as to how the designer of this product added the wiring for the lights INSIDE the pipe. That’s 0/0 for infection control.
Overall, The product is good but it can be made better, starting with the suction power— Especially seeing that there’s no other device like it (with the suction pipe, at least not to my knowledge).

This is the only unit we are aware of that has the overhead pipe. As you noted, it does a good job of collecting nail dust which is its primary purpose. It is intended to improve safety and hygiene by capturing fine airborne nail dust and debris during filing, protecting both technicians and clients from inhaling harmful particles that can cause respiratory issues.

One of the best dust collectors I have used to date. Everything works 100% well as long as you keep it clean on a daily basis or clean it out after each client.
The pipe attachment is a life changer when you do Russian pedicures as it sucks up all the dead skin as you file and keeps your furniture / floors dust-free during the service.
